Whelpful Privacy Policy
Effective September 23, 2026. This policy explains the information Whelpful uses to provide the service and how that information is handled.
Information you provide
When you create an account or use Whelpful, you may provide account information, kennel and dog records, litter and puppy information, health and weight records, buyer details, payment and expense records, registration information, photos, notes, and support messages.
Authentication and account access
Whelpful uses Supabase to provide account authentication and database services. Authentication emails may be delivered through our transactional email provider, Resend.
Payments
Subscription checkout and payment processing are handled by Stripe. Whelpful does not store full payment card numbers in the breeder workspace. Stripe may collect and process payment information under its own privacy terms.
How information is used
We use information submitted to Whelpful to operate the breeder workspace, maintain connected records, provide account access, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Whelpful, such as hosting, database, authentication, transactional email, and payment providers. We do not sell customer data to advertisers.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to enter and store information about buyers, animals, health records, photos, and other third-party information in your account.
Data retention and account closure
Records may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for account administration, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or service operations. You may contact us to request help with account or data questions.
Security
We use account-based access and established third-party infrastructure to operate Whelpful. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong unique password and protect access to your account.
Children
Whelpful is intended for adults managing breeding programs and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Whelpful changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are made.
